I wanted to share my recent weekend trip in Leavenworth, Washington. We stayed at the dreamy, recently built, adults only -- Post Hotel. Everything about this hotel is peaceful, and the staffs ENCOURAGES guests to spend the day around the hotel wearing their white plush robes and slippers.
A stay at the Post Hotel includes breakfast, lunch, evening dessert, and all of the spa amenities (which means 2 steam rooms, 2 saunas, 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, rainforest shower, and unlimited cucumber water). There's even a nap room, with heated water beds, connected to the pool area. The guest rooms are luxurious, each with a private sitting area, marble shower and tub, tv in the bathroom mirror, and balconies for each room.
The town of Leavenworth is nestled in the mountains, about a 2.5 hour drive from the Seattle airport. The town is Bavarian-themed, from the buildings to the restaurants, and even the live accordion music in the park. Truly a perfect weekend getaway destination.
